Christmas 2008 & More
Christmas was so much fun this year. It was amazing to me how little I cared about what I may have wanted or needed because I was so excited about Seth's Christmas. It started on Christmas Eve with Jeff's family and that was all kinds of fun. Seth got a Lighting McQueen couch from Grandma & Grandpa and was sitting in it before he even opened it! Hilarious! He didn't really care about opening the gifts though. He had more fun playing with the large toys once they were open. He also got lots of clothes. Now what 1 year old would care about clothes? Yes, that would be mine! He couldn't get enough of them! Once they were open, he played non-stop with them. He would wrap them around his head and shoulders, throw them over his head, etc. It was too funny!
Christmas Day was just as much fun. Seth really enjoyed pulling everything out of his stocking and then we got to have my Christmas breakfast that I so wanted to have! It was good. We then continued to open gifts for the remainder of the morning. What fun it was just to see Seth's eyes get big and try out all his new toys. He is just so much fun and I can't get enough of him!
Of course, Seth wasn't the only one who had an awefully fun Christmas. As you read earlier, Jeff had a great Christmas and he worked extra hard to get me things I wanted. (I got my Sirius radio!!) And I would never forget my pups! They had stockings full of fun treats too. In fact, poor Duke knew I had placed some treats in his stocking and just watched it for half an hour or so. He made me laugh so hard! I felt bad for putting it up but, we had to at some point!
So in other news....My son is starting to talk. TOO funny! He has been saying mama & dada for some time but he has also started saying NoNoNo and waving his finger at the dogs. He also says UhOh and puts his hands on the sides of his head. Very amusing. He also has this crazy gibberish that makes me laugh so much. When he is playing by himself, you hear these little noises. He sounds like a little gremlin in my house. I laugh so hard whenever I hear it. This morning I was teasing him and asked him if he knew who birthed him and he responded immediately with DaDa. Yea, I don't think so baby boy!
Seth also has taken to sucking on ice cubes. He would see us giving the dogs ice cubes and put his little hand out for one & hasn't stopped ever since. Now whenever he hears us at the fridge he comes running (quite similar to the dogs actually :) ) and begs for an ice cube for each hand! He likes them so much that he sucks them till his little hands are blue. Grandma Haywood came up with a brilliant idea. So...we made him ice cubes on a stick! This works so much better and he loves them! What a great treat!
Last but certainly not least are Seth's 1 year photos. Gosh that was so much fun! We went to Portrait innovations and they were wonderful. Not to mention they give you a CD with all the pictures they took! I was so excited. He was in such a good mood & really gave us loads of great pictures! Here are just a few of my favorites!
